Special Interests

Dr. Ruben Ramirez-Vega is a Gastroenterologist with specialized training in Transplant Hepatology.  He is board certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine.  Dr. Ramírez-Vega has been in private practice in El Paso since completing his liver transplant fellowship in 2015.  He has also been Medical Director for Gastroenterology and Liver at the Hospitals of Providence - Memorial Campus since 2015.  During Dr. Ramirez-Vega's fellowship, he was Chief Fellow for the Division of Digestive and Liver Diseases.

Dr. Ramirez-Vega is very interested and active in research and investigation into liver issues, including hepatitis C.
